Lolita is a type of Japanese street fashion that has gained much popularity in America. Lolita clothing focuses on being elegant and classic. While it has gained footing in America, there is no current publication out there made for American Lolitas. In the past major Lolita magazines had been brought over but because of poor translation and outdated fashion, the magazines did not last long. By creating a magazine specifically for the Lolita trends happening in America, it would better interest and represent the audience it was for.
The title ‘Alace’ comes from the marriage of the words Alice and lace. Alice in Wonderland is a common theme for ensemble and lace is used in almost every type of dress or accessory.
